Happisburgh Light Brigade Alight In The East:
For copies of the CD (cover above) please send £10 (CD) + £1 P&P (overseas by arrangement - if in dollars, just send dollars in cash and we'll sort it out this end) to Alan Helsdon, 38, Park Lane, Norwich NR2 3EF, England
"Norfolk hero"Our regular caller Alan Helsdon has an astonishing number of CDs of song cycles and collections on Admiral Nelson, Norfolk Wherries, Norfolk tunes, the Ukulele and much, much more. Contact via e-mail E-Mail after you've visited his Quanting CD Labelling website. Many members of the band appear on the CDs, and Peter did all the covers as well.
"Easy pieces"
Our guitarist Peter made several tapes a few
years ago, some of which may still be available (including "Easy Pieces",
featured above).
Dr. Bowser's Brown Bowel Oil BandSteve, our box player, made two LPs in Bristol as part of DBBBO; "Not to be sniffed at" and "A good run for your money". "Not to be sniffed at" received reasonable critical acclaim at the time (and sold about 450 LPs and 250 cassettes), so it can't have been too bad*. A very few copies are available for sale, although they might get put on a CD one day. Incidentally, the cover was designed by a certain Peter Lord, he of Morph, Aardman, Wallace and Gromit and Nick Park fame. If only I'd kept the original! * A copy was seen in a record fare in Bristol in the "Rare" section at £25 in 1998!
