Shindig (formed from some of the members of the well-known Happisburgh Light Brigade) are now one of Norfolk's established barn dance and ceilidh bands. Shindig features Steve and Peter from HLB, and joined by talented pianist (amongst other things) Jenny. Alan is now concentrating on calling and a variety of bizarre percussion.

    The band's repertoire consists mainly of 18th and 19th century English tunes, although you can't beat a good tune whatever its origin. We have our own PA (which can be turned down as well as up!), lights and the band and caller will run the whole evening for you. We usually work with Alan Helsdon, probably the best caller in Norfolk, but if he is not available we have a number of other good callers with whom we are delighted to work. The band also has a sampler CD of a few tunes we recorded recently just to give you an idea of what we sound like, if you're interested.
