HAPPISBURGH LIGHT BRIGADE

The Happisburgh Light Brigade were one of Norfolk's most well-established barn dance and ceilidh bands between 1987 andd 2000. A few notable features of the band included:

Two of the Happisburgh Light Brigade members have recruited Jenny (keyboards) and are continuing as a three band called Shindig, playing mainly English dance tunes to mainly English dances, usually with Alan calling (as in the past). The main instruments used are melodeons, concertina, guitar, keyboards, bass and percussion. We are available for events (weddings, schools, clubs, organisations, Universities and colleges etc), although we don't often travel far outside Norfolk unless persuaded.

HAPPISBURGH LIGHT BRIGADE
- AS SEEN ON TV!

Alan plays and calls in front of the outstanding feature of north Norfolk.
Quite how he kept that flowery thing balanced on his head is anyones guess.

Steve and Peter play under some scrutiny

The "Eastern Daily Press" caption for this photo noted that everyone was enjoying the music at the Worstead Festival, in July 1997. Close examination shows that everyone seems to be heading away from the band. The photograph was also used to promote the 1998 Worstead Festival, despite the fact that the band weren't invited that year.
