These guidelines will benefit clinicians working for the NHS and Independent Mental Health Service Providers.
The document sets out evidence based guidance on the administration of oil-based depot and other long-acting intramuscular antipsychotic injections which may be adopted by healthcare professionals as a framework for best practice
Appendix 1 provides a series of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to cover the administration of such formulations which may be adopted directly by any organisation or used as models from which to develop their own.
