The UKPPG is proud to announce the continuation of the annual UKPPG travel award. This prestigious award was previously made possible by the generosity of AstraZeneca (1998-2005) and is now funded and administered by the UKPPG. The award is made annually for clinical or practice research in psychiatric pharmacy. Applicants must be members of the UKPPG but do not need to be specialists in psychiatry. the prize is £1500 sponsorship to attend a major conference.
Submissions must be made by 30th June annually, and be reports of work that was completed in the previous year. Submissions should take the form of a brief paper describing the research, of no more than 1000 words excluding tables and references. The award will be made by an independent panel consisting of three judges.
Submissions will be coded by the organiser and sent without the title page to the three judges to retain anonymity. The winner will be expected to give a presentation on the results of their work at the UKPPG Annual conference in the following October.
Submissions for the award:
Please send four copies of your paper. The first page should include the title, and your details and place of work etc. Subsequent pages should repeat the title, but not contain any references to the author(s). Please use 12pt typeface, double-spaced, with numbered pages. Tables should be on separate pages at the end. References should be set out in the Vancouver style (see BMJ 1988, 296, 403, 6th Feb).
